Prayer for the Friends of St. Jude
Dear God, I can get very caught up in my own problems. After all, they are real and cause me a lot of pain. But I remember that I am part of a large human family, your family, and we all have problems. I expand my awareness to include all people, especially the many others who approach Saint Jude with their concerns. I move out of myself to embrace them in prayer and ask that your grace may flow through every one of them.
About us
The Dominican Friars, the Province of St. Albert the Great, are Roman Catholic priests and brothers. We are part of the global "Order of Preachers," the Dominican Family of priests, brothers, sisters, nuns and lay people, who live and pray today in a holy tradition that dates back to time of St. Dominic, the thirteenth century.
Our mission is to communicate the Word of God through preaching, theological education, and the promotion of justice and peace. This mission in the Body of Christ demands a vowed community life, liturgical prayer and life-long study.

I am 82 years old, and my first encounter with St. Jude was when I was engaged to a person who was definitely anti catholic. My mom gave me the St. Jude’s novena prayer book, and thru his intercession I found myself breaking the engagement. I didn’t even know how it happened. I was 19 years old then but how it happened was like a miracle. I know it would not have been a good marriage. After that, I met a very good catholic man and have been happily married for over 50 years, so I’m very grateful to St. Jude.

I never prayed before, but 2 years ago I broke the law and started to pray to St. Jude. I asked for probation instead of prison. My petition and prayers were answered.

I want to publicly praise St. Jude. My son had been out of work for several months and finally found a job. St. Jude has been my patron saint since I was 21 and now I am 79. St. Jude has answered my prayers many, many times.

When my daughter was 18 months old the hose from the washing machine came loose and burned her neck, arm and leg. I prayed to St. Jude that she will be ok and not have bad scars. She is fine. St. Jude answered my prayers.

When my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer, I prayed to St. Jude for a pain free duration of his illness. Not only was he quite comfortably, but he lived 3½ years longer than the doctors thought. Thank you St. Jude.
