Do you know anyone who never needs help – or at least never admits their need of help? Because of our human limits, we all need help – God’s help and the help of others.
Prayer is the way we ask God’s help. “Partners in prayer” is a way we can ask others to help us pray.
We believe in the Communion of Saints of which we here on earth are also members. We ask St. Jude and other saints in heaven to pray with us and for us – and through our “partners in prayer” program, we both pray for the needs of others and ask them to pray with us and for our needs.
Today's reflection
Even if we could call all powers our own, we should consider ourselves beggars standing outside the gates of Heaven and, holding out our hands, asking for God's Grace as if we were begging for alms; for Grace makes us the children of God.

Or you may choose to become a “partner in prayer.” With this choice you both promise to pray for the needs of others and receive their prayer support! All the prayer requests we receive are remembered at the daily Shrine Mass.
Novenas
Novenas (the word is from the Latin word which means nine) are a structured way to pray for a special need over a period of nine days. There is nothing magical about the number nine – but it is an ancient tradition in our Catholic heritage. Novenas can be done either as part of a church community or privately.
