Please pray for my sister who is having surgery today (May 12) to remove a brain tumor. She has four children Hannah, 14, Gina 12, Robert 10, and Julia 7.

Pray for my marriage. After almost 25 years is falling apart, my husband who was away for 7 years finally came to us, but his adaptation has been very difficult and I feel he needs help. He doesn't want to accept it.

My friends, in today's first reading, James 3:1-10, the author talks about, of all things, our tongues! With them we can say "Praised be the Lord and Father," and the next minute, with that same tongue, we can be tearing someone to pieces. How important it is to bridle the tongue.
