Why do people pray to saints?
We believe that the saints are our senior sisters and brothers who faced the same challenges we do and now stand before the Throne of God. We ask the saints to pray with and for us – to join with us in praying for God’s help.

St. Jude Thaddeus was one of the twelve Apostles chosen by Jesus Christ. Because he has the same name as the traitor, people were slow to ask his help. He didn’t mind being left in the shadows – and now is the special patron of all who feel left in the shadows. At our Shrine we ask him to help all in special need.
The Dominican Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus ("The Shrine") is committed to providing its users with an Internet experience that respects their personal privacy concerns.
